About The Position
The Patient Care Technician II provides direct patient care to assigned patients under the direction of an RN professional and maintains a safe patient area. The technician is accountable for their role in patient care as a team member working toward established outcomes, and participates in each patient’s daily plan of care in accordance with nursing and facility policies and procedures. This is a full-time, day-shift MedSurg-4 West position in Westwood, New Jersey.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and before providing direct patient care.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in a healthcare facility.
- At least 2 years of experience as a PCT.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) and/or nursing student enrolled in a nursing program who has successfully completed theoretical and clinical practical components in fundamentals of nursing.
