About The Position

The Patient Care Technician (PCT) is a vital member of the collaborative nursing team, supporting Registered Nurses in delivering hands-on care and creating a safe, welcoming environment for patients. The PCT assists with daily needs such as vital signs, mobility, and personal care, helps RNs monitor patient conditions and carry out care plans, and contributes to patient comfort and dignity.

Requirements

Obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support care and recovery.
Provide non-medicated care, including dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
Keep patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked to maintain safety and efficiency.
Manage supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.
