About The Position
The Patient Care Technician II provides direct patient care to assigned patients under the direction of an RN professional and maintains a safe patient area. As a team member, the technician assumes responsibility and accountability for patient care to help achieve established outcomes and participates in each patient’s daily plan of care in accordance with nursing and facility policies and procedures. This is a full-time, night-shift position on the MedSurg-4 West unit in Westwood, NJ.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and before providing direct patient care.
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience in a healthcare facility.
- Two or more years of experience as a PCT.
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification and/or enrollment as a nursing student in a nursing program with successful completion of theoretical and clinical practical work in nursing fundamentals.
