About The Position

Methodist Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support Registered Nurses as part of a collaborative nursing team. The PCT provides hands-on, non-medicated patient care, helps monitor patients and carry out care plans, and contributes to a safe, welcoming environment. The role supports patients’ comfort, dignity, and recovery through attentive, empathetic care and teamwork.

Requirements

• Obtain Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment start date.
• No experience required.
• No travel required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with patient preparation, mobility, transfers, and comfort to support care and recovery.
• Provide non-medicated care, including dressing changes, skin protection, and use of supportive devices.
• Keep patient areas and common spaces clean, organized, and stocked.
• Manage supplies, equipment, and logs to support infection control and team readiness.
• Communicate kindly with patients, families, and the care team to support safety and quality.
• Support Registered Nurses with hands-on care, monitoring patient conditions, and carrying out care plans.
