About The Position

The Patient Care Tech provides direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. The role assists patients with daily living activities, monitors vital signs and patient status, and helps maintain a safe environment. Patient Care Techs also assist with procedures, provide patient and family education and emotional support, and document care to help ensure a positive and comfortable experience for patients and their families.

Requirements

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred.
• Acute care hospital experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Monitor vital signs and patient status.
• Maintain a safe patient environment.
• Assist with procedures.
• Provide patient and family education.
• Offer emotional support to patients and families.
• Document care.
