About The Position

Under supervision, the Patient Care Technician performs routine non-professional and professional care. The role supports medical staff and patient flow, prepares equipment and post-operative kits, helps patients get ready for testing, sterilizes instruments and equipment, maintains supplies, and keeps the front and back waiting rooms in order.

Requirements

• Current American Heart Association BLS certificate is required.
• At least six months of prior related experience assisting with patient care.

Nice To Haves

• Graduate of a Patient Care Tech program preferred.

Responsibilities

• Unbag and bag equipment.
• Make up post-op kits.
• Direct doctors and patients to the appropriate rooms.
• Assist medical staff with patient care.
• Perform visual fields.
• Set up patients for required testing.
• Keep instruments and equipment sterilized.
• Maintain adequate supplies.
• Keep front and back waiting rooms in order.
