About The Position

Carolina Eyecare Physicians is a multidisciplinary physician group providing ophthalmology, optometry, cosmetic facial surgery, and skin care. Patient Care Representatives maintain a friendly, professional environment as the first and last point of contact for patients. They are expected to be polite, attentive, and organized to enhance the patient experience. This is a full-time position. The role may require travel to other locations as necessary.

Requirements

High school diploma.
Experience with Microsoft Office products.
Prior experience in a customer service role.
Ability to work under pressure and respond positively to patient requests.
Ability to read, write, and perform mathematical calculations.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, and manage time to meet organizational deadlines and requirements.
Travel to other locations as necessary.

Associate’s degree.

Responsibilities

Greet and direct patients, visitors, and staff upon entry, monitor reception areas, and provide assistance as needed.
Provide a pleasant and prompt check-in by verifying information and assisting patients with questionnaires and forms.
Print daily team and physician schedules.
Assist walk-in patients with scheduling inquiries and prescription or record pick-up.
Disseminate information using telephone and computer systems.
Cross-check and update next-day charts against the appointment schedule.
Maintain an orderly workspace that supports the integrity and safety of patients and staff.
Make appointment confirmation calls based on the patient appointment schedule.
Collect co-payments, fees for non-covered services, and existing account balances during checkout.
Complete requested reports and forms.
Perform additional administrative responsibilities as needed.
