About The Position
Join the CentraCare team as a Patient Care Extender at its new second location, Urgent Care at River Campus, next to the Emergency Room. The location is scheduled to open in February 2027. The role works with healthcare professionals in a fast-paced urgent care environment, assisting licensed medical staff with quality patient treatment and supporting patient- and family-centered care.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card; it can be obtained internally upon hire.
Responsibilities
- Assist licensed medical staff in treating patients.
- Support patient- and family-centered care.
- Irrigate wounds and apply cleaning and dressing treatments.
- Size crutches.
- Perform blood draws and EKGs.
- Clean and stock treatment rooms.
- Document patient activity.
