Patient Care Extender | Urgent Care River Campus
About The Position
CentraCare is hiring a Patient Care Extender for its new Urgent Care at River Campus location, next to the Emergency Room, opening in February 2027. The role works with healthcare professionals in a fast-paced urgent care environment, assisting licensed medical staff with quality patient treatment and contributing to patient- and family-centered care. The Patient Care Extender performs tasks such as wound irrigation, applying cleaning and dressing applications, sizing crutches, drawing blood, performing EKGs, cleaning and stocking treatment rooms, and documenting patient activity. This is a part-time position scheduled for 48 hours every two weeks, with 12-hour shifts from 9 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. on variable days. The schedule includes every third weekend and rotating holidays. Starting pay is $20.72 per hour and may be higher based on experience; the stated pay range is $19.53–$29.28 per hour. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card; it can be obtained internally upon hire.
Responsibilities
