Patient Care Extender | Urgent Care Plaza
About The Position
The Patient Care Extender (PCE) at Urgent Care Plaza works in a fast-paced environment alongside healthcare professionals, assisting licensed medical staff in the quality treatment of patients. The role is a vital member of the team in providing patient- and family-centered care. The PCE performs tasks such as wound irrigation, applying cleaning and dressing applications, sizing crutches, drawing blood, performing EKGs, cleaning and stocking treatment rooms, and documenting patient activity. This is a part-time position scheduled for 36 hours every two weeks. Shifts are 12 hours, either 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m. or 9:00 a.m.–9:30 p.m., on variable days. The schedule includes every third weekend and rotating holidays.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card; this can be obtained internally upon hire.
Responsibilities
