About The Position
The Patient Care Extender at Urgent Care Plaza works in a fast-paced environment and assists licensed medical staff in providing quality patient treatment. The role is a vital member of the care team and supports patient- and family-centered care through clinical and treatment-room tasks.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card; it can be obtained internally upon hire.
Responsibilities
- Assist licensed medical staff in the quality treatment of patients.
- Support patient- and family-centered care.
- Perform wound irrigation and apply cleaning and dressing applications.
- Size crutches.
- Perform blood draws and EKGs.
- Clean and stock treatment rooms.
- Document patient activity.
