About The Position

The Patient Care Consultant, also referred to as the Dispensary Patient Consultant, delivers concierge-level service to patrons and patients at a retail cannabis location. The role supports sales results and a distinctive shopping experience while carrying out day-to-day store operations in accordance with company policies and industry regulations.

The position involves assisting customers, sharing product recommendations, maintaining knowledge of patient and member benefits and promotions, handling products in compliance with safety and regulatory requirements, and helping keep the store clean and organized. The consultant also operates the point-of-sale system and cash register and works with the team to meet sales, guest satisfaction, and compliance goals. Local travel may occasionally be required as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 2 years of customer-service experience in retail.
• Excellent computer, mathematical, language, and reasoning skills.
• Excellent multitasking skills while working over the phone and in person.

Nice To Haves

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in any field.
• Bilingual in Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to the company mission statement and core values while maintaining high ethical standards and professionalism.
• Provide accurate customer service by answering patrons’ questions and concerns or directing them appropriately.
• Lead tours of the sales floor and make product recommendations based on ongoing research of available products.
• Maintain thorough knowledge of patient and member benefits, discounts, coupons, and promotions, and encourage memberships among medical guests.
• Follow product-handling procedures, company safety and health policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain store cleanliness and organization by stocking items and supplies, sweeping, mopping, and sanitizing.
• Operate a cash register, computer-based point-of-sale system, and cash drawer.
• Work as part of a team to meet sales, guest-satisfaction, and compliance goals by designated timelines.
• Perform other job duties as assigned.
