About The Position
Patient Care Assistants (also described as nursing assistants) assist patients with delegated direct and indirect patient-care tasks that support nursing practice under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. They perform activities within the functions legally permitted for unlicensed nursing personnel, including helping patients with activities of daily living, providing basic nursing care, and maintaining a safe and clean environment. Positions are available across inpatient units, including Medical-Surgical, Float Pool, PCU, and ICU.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Demonstrated ability to multitask in stressful situations.
- Ability to communicate, collaborate, and manage relationships with interdisciplinary team members while maintaining patient- and family-centered care, safety, timeliness, efficiency, and equity.
- BLS certification must be successfully completed before the first day in patient care; the certification is included in the orientation program.
Nice To Haves
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Keyboard experience preferred.
