About The Position

Visiting Angels’ Fayetteville office is seeking compassionate Patient Care Assistants to provide care to senior adults and others in need throughout Fayetteville and surrounding communities. The role combines companionship and practical support, including light housekeeping, meal preparation, mobility assistance, personal care, and transportation. The position offers opportunities for advanced training in areas such as dementia care and Alzheimer’s care.

Requirements

• Passion for serving others and a genuine caregiver mindset.
• Knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
• Knowledge of housekeeping and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.
• Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
• Respectful and compassionate manner.
• Good time management skills.

• Physical endurance.
• High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Help clients take prescribed medication.
• Assist clients with ambulation and mobility at home or outside, including attending appointments and taking walks.
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Help clients with routine exercises.
• Plan and prepare meals with clients’ assistance when they are able.
• Shop for clients or accompany them while shopping.
• Perform light housekeeping duties clients cannot complete on their own.
• Provide pleasant and supportive companionship.
• Report unusual incidents.
• Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
