About The Position

Mayo Clinic is hiring Patient Care Assistants for inpatient medical departments, with openings across Med Surg, Float Pool, PCU, and ICU. The Nursing Assistant performs delegated direct and indirect patient-care tasks under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. The role carries out activities legally designated for unlicensed nursing personnel, including helping patients with activities of daily living, providing basic nursing care, and helping maintain a safe and clean environment.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Demonstrate the ability to multitask in stressful situations.
• Demonstrate the ability to communicate, collaborate, and manage relationships with interdisciplinary team members while maintaining patient- and family-centeredness, safety, timeliness, efficiency, and equity.
• BLS certification must be successfully completed before the first day in patient care; it is included in the orientation program.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Keyboard experience preferred.

Responsibilities
