PATIENT AMBASSADOR (FULL TIME)
About The Position
The Patient Ambassador serves as the primary representative of the Patient Experience Team for an assigned unit and is primarily responsible for completing patient interviews and new admission visits. The role supports patient and client satisfaction, promotes the Patient Experience Program, and helps ensure that service and housekeeping standards are met. The position is at UF Leesburg Hospital in Leesburg, Florida, and is full time. Days and hours may vary; further schedule details are provided during the interview. Prior customer service experience is required, and training is provided. The fixed pay rate is $20.50 per hour.
Requirements
- Prior customer service experience is required; training is provided.
- Thorough knowledge of office procedures and contract administration.
- Ability to use working knowledge of the environment to meet established goals and objectives.
- Fiscal and budgetary skills.
Responsibilities
- Conduct new admission visits to assigned units within the timeframe established by unit and patient experience leadership.
- Ensure employees demonstrate an aggressive hospitality (respect) orientation toward customers and clients.
- Support client satisfaction at a level that ensures account retention.
- Promote client awareness of the Patient Experience Program.
- Assist in customizing programs to meet each account's unique needs as required.
- Assist in developing and/or monitoring a department or unit patient satisfaction action plan and report to clients as needed.
- Assist with effective employee relations programs at the unit site.
- Encourage employee creativity and innovation.
- Recognize employees when programs are implemented successfully.
- Complete housekeeping tasks when requested by customers or patients.
- Resolve housekeeping issues that do not meet standards and ensure tasks are followed up on and completed in a timely manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
