About The Position

The Patient Ambassador provides guests with information and supports facility staff. The role requires knowledge of the facility’s geography and basic operations, good customer service, and professional conduct. The ambassador directs guests to appropriate areas, greets patients, provides directions and assistance to hospital customers, and keeps the work and reception areas neat and orderly.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Verbal and writing ability to communicate effectively when informing employees of activities and policies.
• Numerical ability.
• Ability to receive, comprehend, and carry out instructions.
• Ability to work safely with equipment, supplies, and materials.
• Ability to comply with attendance requirements and Human Resource policies.

Nice To Haves

• One year of customer service experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients promptly, courteously, and helpfully.
• Provide directions and assistance to hospital customers.
• Maintain the work area and reception area in a neat and orderly manner.
• Work with other staff members to foster teamwork, high-quality patient care, and staff cooperation.
• Adhere to all safety requirements.
• Attend required department-specific education and training programs and describe responsibilities related to department safety and job-related hazards.
• Demonstrate proper body mechanics in all functions.
• Wear proper identification while on duty.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
