Responsible for financial counseling, monitoring payments and collection of delinquent patient accounts. The Patient Advocate will review all schedules and surgeries to determine out-of-pocket costs for patients, collect deposits based on established payment arrangements, and evaluate patient financial status to establish budget payment plans. This role involves monitoring private-pay patient accounts for delinquent payments, reviewing and contacting patients regarding delinquent accounts, and contacting lawyers involved in third-party litigation. The Patient Advocate will also educate patients on potential assistance programs and adhere to HIPAA guidelines, demonstrating a passion for excellence in customer care. Performs other duties as necessary for the practice.
