PATIENT ACCESS SCHEDULING COORD INFUSION
About The Position
The Patient Access Scheduling Specialty Coordinator (PASCI) at Moffitt Cancer Center supports scheduling and registration for a range of outpatient services, including Surgery, Blood and Bone Marrow, Integrated Clinical Services, Diagnostics, Labs, Behavioral Health, Virtual Health, Research, and Infusion. The role may be assigned to any Patient Access function based on business needs. The coordinator is expected to meet performance metrics and training requirements, collaborate with teammates to cross-cover Patient Access functions, and develop broad knowledge of the position while maintaining productivity, quality, and skills. The position requires comfort with medical terminology, problem-solving, and managing competing priorities and demands.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- Ability to communicate and interact courteously and helpfully with individuals from varying backgrounds and healthcare team members.
- Customer service, multitasking, computer, typing, and interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to use office automation equipment and software.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain patience and composure in stressful situations.
- Critical thinking skills, including problem solving and root cause analysis, and ability to provide timely solutions.
- Comfort with medical terminology and competing priorities and demands.
- Internal candidates must successfully complete two-day infusion training and meet necessary production and quality requirements.

Responsibilities
- Schedule and register patients for outpatient services, including Infusion and other listed service areas.
- Work in any Patient Access capacity as needed to meet business needs.
- Collaborate with team members to cross-cover Patient Access functions.
- Set up, organize, and maintain record systems.
- Meet applicable performance metrics, training requirements, and production and quality requirements.
