About The Position

The Patient Access Representative supports patient access at Cincinnati Children’s Pleasant Hill Academy School-Based Health Center and rotates between the CPS locations Pleasant Hill and Midway. The role provides patient registration, admission, and scheduling assistance to patients, families, staff, and external agencies; protects confidential patient and family information; supports regulatory compliance; and helps ensure accurate data and documentation for revenue cycle and health information processes. The position is a regular, full-time day-shift role scheduled for 40 hours per week. The expected starting pay range is $17.80–$21.51, with starting pay based on experience, skills, and equity; additional pay and benefits may apply.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• No directly related experience required.

Responsibilities

• Identify the correct patient, identify special needs, and prepare isolation precautions for patients with Infectious Disease indicators.
• Assist patients, families, staff, and external agencies with accurate completion of patient registration, admission, and scheduling.
• Investigate and resolve customer requests, questions, or problems according to CCHMC policies and procedures; contact outside representatives for information or assistance as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and safeguard patient and family medical and financial information during collection, use, and storage; access only information and records necessary to perform the role.
• Complete and authenticate documents and questionnaires required for compliance with regulatory agencies, including JCAHO, CMS, and ODH.
• Support Revenue Cycle, Health Information Management, and Regulatory by obtaining necessary data, information, and forms and entering them accurately into the appropriate system.
• Explain system errors to management and recommend system changes.
