About The Position

The Patient Access Representative at the ECU OBGYN Women's Clinic performs patient registration and provides insurance benefits interpretation and counseling. The role requires maintaining medical terminology skills and knowledge of third-party payer regulations, as well as handling patient and customer relations. Other duties may be assigned. This is a full-time call center position with a Monday-to-Friday schedule from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) or higher.
• Two years of customer service experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Detail orientation, organization, and multitasking skills.
• Basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

• Associate degree preferred.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• One to two years of registration and/or billing experience within a healthcare setting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient registration.
