About The Position

Adventist Health Tillamook is seeking a Patient Access Representative for a full-time role with 8-hour variable shifts. We are looking for a qualified and dedicated individual who can work onsite at our Tillamook, OR location. Responsible for timely and accurate patient registration. Interviews patients for all pertinent account information. Verifies all insurance and calculates and collects patient liability amounts. Ensures that all necessary signatures are obtained for treatment. Answers any questions and explains policies clearly. Checks for physician orders and attaches them to appropriate patient record to ensure correct test is received. Prints and collates any paperwork needed for each patient for distribution to unit/department. Escorts patients to his/her area or refers patient to available escort as needed.

Requirements

High School Education/GED or equivalent: Preferred
Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent combination of education/related experience: Preferred
Must receive all required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable. Medical and religious exemptions may apply.

Responsibilities

Check for physician orders and attaches them to patient medical record to ensure that patients are receiving appropriate tests.
Choose correct health plan and accurately and research to ensure accuracy when verifying insurance.
Enter all authorization information accurately as needed.
Follows guidelines and instructions from senior staff.
Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
