About The Position

Patient Access Coordinators support the revenue cycle by completing thorough admissions processes for inpatient and outpatient patients. The role requires exemplary customer service and accurate collection of information, while protecting confidentiality and informing patients of their rights under HIPAA regulations and company policy. The employee maintains compliance with state and federal requirements governing access services. Insurance eligibility verification, compliance, point-of-service estimates, and collections are also part of the role. Extensive insurance experience or training is vital to success.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Typing speed of 40–45 words per minute.
