Patient Access Coordinator - 1st shift
About The Position
Baptist Health is seeking a Patient Access Coordinator in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Patient Access Coordinators contribute to the revenue cycle by completing thorough admission processes for inpatients and outpatients. The role requires exemplary customer service, accurate and confidential information collection, and ensuring patients understand their rights under HIPAA regulations and company policy. Insurance experience or training is important to success. The employee maintains compliance with state and federal requirements for access services and handles insurance eligibility verification, compliance, point-of-service estimates, and collections. The position may require travel to other Baptist Health locations or facilities as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Type 40–45 words per minute.
- Registration experience is preferred.
- Weekend and holiday rotation is required.
- Extensive insurance experience or training is vital to success in the role.
