Patient Access Coordinator - 1st shift
About The Position
Baptist Health is seeking a Patient Access Coordinator to join its team in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Patient Access Coordinators contribute to the revenue cycle by completing thorough admissions processes for inpatient and outpatient patients. They collect accurate information, handle it sensitively and confidentially, and ensure patients are aware of their rights under HIPAA regulations and company policy. The role also involves insurance eligibility verification, compliance, point-of-service estimates and collections, and maintaining compliance with state and federal regulatory requirements for access services. Extensive insurance experience or training is vital to success in the role. The employee may be required to travel to other Baptist Health locations or facilities as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to type 40–45 words per minute.
- Extensive insurance experience or training is vital to success in the role.
- Exemplary customer service skills.
- May be required to travel to other Baptist Health locations or facilities as needed.
