About The Position

Baptist Health is seeking a Patient Access Coordinator to join its team in Elizabethtown, Kentucky. Patient Access Coordinators contribute to the revenue cycle by completing admissions for inpatients and outpatients and collecting accurate information used in claims. The role requires strong customer service and careful handling of confidential information. Coordinators ensure patients are informed of their rights under HIPAA regulations and company policy, maintain compliance with applicable state and federal requirements, and support insurance eligibility verification, compliance, point-of-service estimates, and collections. Extensive insurance experience or training is vital to success in the role. Travel to other Baptist Health locations or facilities may be required as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must type 40–45 words per minute.
• Extensive insurance experience or training is vital to success in the role.

• Registration experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete admissions processes for inpatient and outpatient patients.
