About The Position

Baptist Health is seeking a Patient Access Coordinator to join its team in New Albany, Indiana. Patient Access Coordinators contribute to the success of the revenue cycle by completing thorough admissions processes for inpatient and outpatient visits. They collect accurate information, protect its confidentiality, and ensure patients understand their rights under HIPAA regulations and company policy. The role also includes maintaining compliance with state and federal requirements for access services, verifying insurance eligibility, and handling compliance, point-of-service estimates, and collections. Extensive insurance experience or training is vital to success in this role.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must type 40–45 words per minute.
