About The Position

Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort & Club is hiring a full-time Pastry Cook II to join its Pastry Team at Bourbon Steak in Dana Point, California. The resort is located on 175 acres and has more than 400 rooms and eight food and beverage outlets.

The Pastry Cook II prepares menu items according to recipes and quality standards, manages guest orders, and uses advanced cooking techniques. The role may work a station independently and involves inspecting dishes before service, maintaining clean and stocked food stations, following food handling and safety protocols, managing multiple orders, assisting with training, and taking on minor supervisory duties as needed. The position must comply with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol-awareness regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items according to designated recipes and quality standards.
• Manage guest orders efficiently while ensuring a positive dining experience.
• Use advanced cooking techniques, including sauces, roasting, grilling, and plating, and work a station independently as needed.
• Inspect preparations and dishes before serving to ensure quality and presentation standards are met.
• Keep food service stations stocked and sanitary and follow food handling, storage, and safety protocols.
• Manage multiple tickets and orders, assist with training, and take on minor supervisory duties as needed.
• Comply with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol-awareness regulations.
