About The Position
Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort & Club is hiring a part-time Server Assistant for its Food and Beverage Team at Monarch Bay Beach Club. The resort is located in Dana Point, California, and is set on 175 acres above a seaside bluff. It has more than 400 rooms, 115,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, and eight food and beverage outlets. The Server Assistant helps prepare for dining service and supports servers while creating memorable guest experiences. The role includes setting and maintaining tables, keeping service stations stocked and clean, assisting with table service, and handling used tableware. Team members are expected to maintain health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol-awareness standards. Responsibilities
- Bring an upbeat, friendly attitude to guest interactions and proactively look for ways to make each meal experience special.
- Set and arrange dining tables, including folding napkins and cleaning and placing tableware.
- Inspect tableware to ensure it is clean and in excellent condition, and report issues for repair.
- Keep service stations stocked, clean, and ready for service.
- Assist servers by delivering beverages, bread, and other items as needed.
- Clear dishware, glassware, and silverware after meals and transport them to the dishwashing area.
- Comply with health, safety, sanitation, and alcohol-awareness regulations.
