About The Position

The Parts Counterperson sells parts at retail to customers over the counter, through the shop, or by phone, while providing excellent service and ensuring accurate order fulfillment. The role supports customer and service technician parts needs and helps maintain inventory, product knowledge, and a clean, safe work area.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of automotive parts and/or sales experience.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Professional appearance and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass pre-employment screening.
• Commitment to workplace safety.
• Ability to wear a dealership uniform.

Nice To Haves

• Automotive dealership experience.
• Knowledge of automotive parts, inventory systems, and repair order processes.
• Experience supporting service technicians and handling customer transactions.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with parts selection, pricing, and product recommendations.
• Process parts orders, inventory requests, and emergency purchases.
• Support service technicians with parts sourcing and repair order transactions.
• Coordinate shipments, deliveries, pick-ups, and back-order management.
• Process returns, credits, and customer payments.
• Maintain inventory and product knowledge, and keep the work area clean.
• Follow company safety standards and procedures.
