About The Position

Dutch Miller Automotive is seeking a Parts Counterperson to contribute to its goal of providing an extraordinary automotive experience. The role oversees the parts sales process and provides service to internal and external customers.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Strong interpersonal and time management skills.
Ability to read and interpret safety and maintenance documents.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

Prior auto parts sales experience is preferred.
Eagerness to improve in a dynamic work environment.

Responsibilities

Oversee the parts sales process from start to finish.
Communicate with staff and customers in a friendly and professional manner, including providing clear and efficient updates on parts status.
Read and understand the parts catalog to identify and discuss specific parts.
Answer phone calls and provide price quotes and other information to customers.
Review body shop estimates to verify that ordered parts are correct and pricing aligns with the estimate.
Provide a high level of service to internal and external customers.
Pull and fill orders from stock and conduct weekly bin checks to ensure stock accuracy.
Notify the parts manager about out-of-stock parts or shop materials requiring immediate attention.
Locate out-of-stock parts from outside sources and submit emergency orders when necessary.
Ensure internal parts requests are billed to the service repair order.
Receive retail customer payments or obtain credit authorization.
Handle shipping and receiving of inventory.
