About The Position

Leman Automotive Group is seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Full-Time Parts Counterperson to join its team in Peoria, Illinois. The role supports technicians, internal departments, and retail customers by identifying and locating automotive parts, processing orders and sales, and coordinating parts that are not in stock. The Parts Counterperson works closely with the Parts Manager, service technicians, and other dealership departments to help ensure timely repairs and provide professional customer service. Previous automotive parts experience is preferred, but the company is willing to train the right candidate.

Requirements

• Basic automotive knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Assist technicians, internal departments, and retail customers with automotive parts needs.
• Look up, identify, and locate the correct parts for vehicle repairs and maintenance.
• Accurately process parts orders, sales, returns, and special requests.
• Work with the Parts Manager to locate and order parts that are not in stock.
• Monitor special orders and communicate updates about parts availability and delivery.
• Maintain an organized and efficient parts department.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service in person and over the phone.
• Collaborate with service technicians and other dealership departments to support timely repairs.
• Follow company safety policies and procedures.
