About The Position

The Parts Assistant supports management with parts control by performing daily operations and maintaining inventory levels. The role monitors inventory, purchases parts and supplies, manages returns, and works with internal personnel and outside vendors or shippers. The position is located at 5260 West 2400 South, West Valley City, UT 84120, and pays $19–$25 per hour. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Requirements

Valid driver's license.
Comprehensive background check.
Pre-employment hair-follicle drug screening.

Responsibilities

Assist management with parts control through daily operations and inventory maintenance.
Monitor inventory levels, identify high-volume and obsolete parts, and maintain appropriate stock levels.
Follow standard internal control procedures.
Purchase parts and supplies using Fleet Assist auto-generated processes and approved low-cost providers.
Maintain and update auto-generated parts procedures as needed.
Monitor parts returns, review warranty tags, store and organize returned parts, and follow up to ensure appropriate handling.
Coordinate with internal department personnel and outside shippers and vendors as necessary.
Identify shortages, overages, and pricing discrepancies; communicate with management to resolve and correct parts-ordering issues.
Maintain a positive work atmosphere through conduct and communication that support business operations and company expectations.
Perform other responsibilities assigned by management, including covering the daily functions of the Parts Manager or Parts Coordinator during their absence.
