Partner Marketing Manager

ImprintNew York, NY
$200,000 - $230,000

About The Position

Imprint helps the world's best brands grow the lifetime value of their customers by offering modern, brand-first co-branded credit card programs. We combine advanced payments infrastructure, intelligent underwriting, and deep customer data to create personalized experiences and profitable relationships for our brand partners. Our technology and operations allow us to offer powerful financial products without becoming a bank. This role is for a Partner Marketing Manager who will own the full marketing strategy and growth outcomes for several of Imprint's largest co-branded credit card partnerships. You will act as the marketing leader and strategic mind for your partners, responsible for acquiring, activating, and retaining cardholders across all channels. The role requires operating as the CMO for assigned partners, leading annual marketing planning, owning full-funnel performance, and driving high-impact campaign strategy and execution. Success involves moving fluidly between strategic planning and hands-on execution, earning credibility with senior stakeholders, and building scalable marketing programs.

Requirements

  • 7 to 10+ years of growth marketing or partner marketing experience in financial services or fintech, with a track record of leading (not just supporting) the launch and scaling of products or partnerships
  • Deep technical knowledge of marketing workflows across paid and owned channels, including lifecycle campaign deployment through tools like Braze, with the ability to make architectural and workflow decisions
  • Experience with affiliate platforms (Impact, AWIN) and paid acquisition channels (paid social, paid search), with demonstrated ability to optimize channel mix and manage meaningful media budgets
  • Strong analytical skills with proven experience diagnosing funnel performance, designing experiments, and optimizing CAC, approval rates, activation rates, LTV, and retention at scale
  • Proven ability to build marketing plans, experimentation frameworks, and funnel optimization strategies in close partnership with cross-functional teams, and the leadership skills to drive alignment and accountability
  • Track record of building trust and credibility with senior partner stakeholders, with the ability to represent Imprint's marketing strategy at the executive level
  • Exceptional communicator who can translate complex partner objectives into clear marketing strategies, and who can present confidently to both internal leadership and external partner teams

Nice To Haves

  • Growth marketing depth: experience leading performance media campaigns end to end with a strong command of CAC optimization, paid media strategy, and budget management across multiple channels
  • Direct mail expertise: experience deploying pre-screen direct mail or ITA campaigns, including working with data providers (TransUnion, Axiom) and direct mail vendors (DMS)
  • Experience in high-growth startups or scaling marketing programs in resource-constrained environments where you had to build the playbook while shipping at speed
  • Familiarity with product marketing for new product launches, not just management of existing programs, and comfort operating in ambiguity during early-stage go-to-market

Responsibilities

  • Own marketing strategy, planning, execution, and performance for major co-branded partners, with direct accountability for partner growth outcomes including acquisition volume, activation, spend, and retention
  • Lead the development of 12-month marketing roadmaps in partnership with GMs, including quarterly planning cycles, budget allocation, and investment tradeoff decisions
  • Present marketing strategy and performance to partner marketing leadership and internal executives, owning the growth narrative for your assigned programs
  • Identify and prioritize the highest leverage opportunities across the funnel and make investment recommendations based on performance data, partner dynamics, and competitive landscape
  • Design, lead, and optimize acquisition campaigns across paid channels (paid social, paid search, affiliate, direct mail) and owned channels (lifecycle, in-app, email)
  • Develop and own experimentation frameworks that systematically improve CAC, LTV, and partner-specific KPIs, with a rigorous approach to test design, measurement, and learning
  • Build audience segmentation, positioning, and messaging strategies that sharpen creative execution, strengthen partner channel marketing, and drive measurable lift in conversion
  • Make channel mix and budget allocation decisions based on performance data, and have the judgment to shift resources quickly when the data warrants it
  • Partner with Lifecycle Managers and analytics to own full-funnel performance: application rate, approval rate, activation rate, spend behavior, insurance attach, and retention
  • Diagnose funnel breakdowns and lead cross-functional efforts to resolve them, working across product, engineering, analytics, and lifecycle to ship improvements
  • Build and maintain a clear performance story for each partner: what's working, what's not, where the leverage is, and what the plan is
  • Serve as the senior marketing point of contact for assigned partners, building trust and credibility with partner marketing leadership through strategic depth and consistent delivery
  • Translate partner objectives and commercial goals into actionable marketing strategies that create value for both Imprint and the partner
  • Bring a clear, data-informed point of view into partner conversations and the strategic credibility to shape joint marketing decisions, not just execute on partner requests
  • Set expectations with partners on what's realistic, what's working, and where we should invest next, and have the conviction to push back when needed
  • Own relationships with external vendors (affiliate platforms, direct mail bureaus, media agencies) and lead vendor performance management, negotiation, and strategic alignment
  • Drive cross-functional alignment with product, engineering, analytics, and creative to ensure marketing programs are executed with speed and quality
  • Identify gaps in marketing infrastructure, tooling, or process and lead initiatives to improve campaign deployment speed, quality, and scalability
  • Own the measurement framework and reporting cadence for assigned partners, tracking application volume, approval rate, activation rate, insurance attach, partner revenue, retention, and LTV
  • Lead performance reviews with internal stakeholders and partner teams, translating data into clear narratives and actionable recommendations
  • Use performance insights to continuously refine strategy, reallocate investment, and raise the bar on what good looks like across the portfolio
