About The Position

Portland Community College (PCC) is seeking applicants for a Part-Time Faculty Interest Pool in Business Administration: Business Technology. This pool is used to identify potential faculty based on course assignment needs for the Academic Year. PCC offers a variety of courses in multiple modes of instruction, with an anticipated need for faculty who can teach face-to-face on-site at campuses (Sylvania, Rock Creek, Southeast, and Cascade) as well as online. This is not an announcement for a specific open position, but rather an interest pool for future assignments. New applications are reviewed monthly.

Requirements

  • For BA 116 Microsoft Office for Workplace Communications: Master’s Degree in a business field (Business or Business Education); OR Master’s Degree in any field and a minimum combination of three years of relevant teaching experience and industry experience; OR Bachelor’s degree in any field and a minimum combination of four years of relevant teaching experience and industry experience.
  • For BA 216A/169Z Data Analytics with Excel and Tableau: Master’s Degree in a business field (Business or Business Education); OR Master’s Degree in any field and a minimum combination of three years of relevant teaching experience and industry experience; OR Bachelor’s degree in any field and a minimum combination of four years of relevant teaching experience and industry experience.
  • Ability to establish residence in Oregon or Washington.
  • Official transcripts required within 2 weeks of offer date for required degrees.
  • Academic credentials must be from a regionally accredited US institution or a foreign institution with equivalent accreditation.
  • For credentials from other countries, transcripts must be evaluated by agencies in good standing with the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Business Administration courses, specifically in Business Technology.
  • Deliver instruction in multiple modes, including face-to-face on-site and online.
