About The Position

Portland Community College (PCC) is seeking applicants for a Part-time Faculty Interest Pool for Business Administration: Accounting and Finance. This pool is used to identify candidates for course assignments based on program needs throughout the academic year. PCC offers a variety of courses in multiple instructional modes, including face-to-face on-site at its main campuses (Sylvania, Rock Creek, Southeast, and Cascade) and online. New applications are reviewed monthly. PCC is the largest post-secondary institution in Oregon, committed to making high-quality education accessible and contributing to community economic development.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or other business-related field; completed at least 30 quarter hours of accounting credits (undergraduate or graduate); three years of full-time equivalent non-teaching accounting work experience required; and CPA or CMA licensing.
  • OR Hold a post baccalaureate certificate in accounting or a bachelors degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Economics or other business-related field; completed at least 30 quarter hours of accounting credits (undergraduate or graduate); and over three years of full-time equivalent non-teaching accounting work experience and CPA or CMA licensing.
  • Must reside in Oregon or Washington.
  • Must be able to establish residence in Oregon or Washington.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior teaching experience is preferred.
  • Teaching experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Teach Business Administration courses in Accounting and Finance.
  • Teach courses in multiple modes of instruction, including face-to-face on-site and online.
  • List current PCC courses which you would be able to teach as part of the application.
