Parking Enforcement Officers with ASU Parking and Transportation Services support safe and efficient parking operations by patrolling university properties, enforcing parking regulations, and assisting faculty, staff, students, and campus visitors. The role calls for a strong commitment to customer service and safety, attention to detail, dependability, and the ability to work independently during assigned shifts. Work locations and schedules include several Monday-through-Friday shifts at the Tempe Campus and one Monday-through-Friday shift at the Downtown Phoenix Campus. Applicants may be considered for one or more schedules, and locations or schedules may change based on operational and event needs. Overtime and additional hours may be available for parking operations and special events. The position pays $20.50 per hour. Work is primarily outdoors and involves extensive walking and standing in varying weather conditions, frequent entry into and exit from ASU vehicles and carts, and regular use of radios, handheld enforcement devices, computers, and related equipment. Employees frequently interact with customers, including addressing complaints or conflicts, and work independently in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities. The role regularly requires lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds. Driving may be required; employees must maintain a valid U.S. driver's license of the appropriate class and required endorsements throughout employment. Applicants must be eligible to work in the United States; ASU and Parking and Transit will not provide employment sponsorship. ASU conducts pre-employment screening, including a criminal background check and verification of work history, academic credentials, licenses, and certifications. This safety/security-sensitive position also requires a fingerprint check. Employment is contingent on successfully passing the required checks.
