About The Position

SP+, a Metropolis company, is an artificial intelligence company that uses computer vision to provide checkout-free parking experiences. The Parking Enforcement Officer monitors parking areas and helps enforce parking policies while providing customer service and supporting parking operations. Officers may work independently and are expected to use sound judgment, tact, and diplomacy. They are not sworn police officers and have no arresting authority.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age at the time of hire.
• Have and maintain a valid state-issued driver's license with a current address and an acceptable driving record.
• Use sound independent judgment and maintain a high level of customer service.
• Know the geography of the enforcement area and relevant hazards and safety precautions.
• Be able to use a handheld computer.
• Be able to operate a motorized vehicle or bicycle.
• Understand and apply parking regulations.
• Interact with others in a courteous and tactful manner.
• Be able to walk for extended periods.
• Be able to work in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor designated streets, lots, garages, public areas, or campuses to ensure compliance with parking policies.
• Answer customer questions about directions, events, building locations, and parking policies.
• Issue citations and warnings using a handheld computer or manual tickets.
• Impound, boot, or relocate vehicles as directed.
• Assist maintenance staff with parking equipment and facility upkeep, including inspecting lots, painting, cleaning and repairing parking meters and pay-and-display machines, and installing signs and posts.
• Assist with collecting and securing parking revenues and fees from meters, multi-space machines, pay-on-foot technology, and other collection methods.
• Assist event staff with parking setup, traffic control, payment collection, and lot usage control.
• Assist office staff with permit sales during peak seasons, including data entry, preparing mailings, and frontline customer service.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
