About The Position

KI is seeking a full-time Paintline Technician to work at its Green Bay manufacturing facility on second shift. The role supports assembly cells by supplying product needed to meet final assembly schedules. Technicians hang parts and hooks on the paint line, manually apply powder-coat paint, perform color changes, tape parts to prevent scratches, and inspect and pack finished parts. The starting rate is $19 per hour, plus a $2-per-hour second-shift differential. A $1-per-hour raise is given within the first year of employment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Willingness to train on any shift.
Willingness to assist in any area of the plant when the assigned area is slow.
Ability to perform work involving standing, walking, lifting, twisting, and bending.

Responsibilities

Hang hooks and parts on the paint line according to identified priorities.
Manually apply powder paint to production parts.
Perform paint color changeovers.
Tape parts coming off the line to prevent scratches.
Inspect and pack parts coming off the line, assembling them if necessary.
Keep records of bad parts.
Perform JIT scanning.
Support assembly cells by providing product needed to meet final assembly schedules.
Assist in any area of the plant when work in the assigned area is slow.
