About The Position

KI is seeking a full-time Paintline Technician for its Green Bay manufacturing facility. This is a second-shift position, Monday through Friday, from 2:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. The starting rate is $19 per hour, plus a $2.00-per-hour shift premium. A $1.00-per-hour raise is provided within the first year of employment. Overtime may be required during the busy season.

Paintline Technicians prepare and process production parts on the paint line, including hanging parts and hooks, applying powder coat paint, changing colors, taping, inspecting, and packing parts. They support assembly cells by providing product needed to meet final assembly schedules. The role may also involve assembling parts and assisting in other plant areas when the assigned area is slow.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Willingness to learn.
• Ability to train on any shift.
• Positive attitude.
• Ability to work in areas where it can get warm.
• Ability to stand, walk, lift, twist, and bend.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to assist in any given area of the plant if the assigned area is slow.

• Mechanical aptitude.
• Previous manufacturing experience, though not required.
• Team-player skills.
• Computer knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Hang hooks and parts on the paint line according to identified priorities.
• Manually apply powder paint to production parts.
• Perform paint color changeovers.
• Tape parts coming down from the line to prevent scratches.
• Inspect and pack parts coming off the line, assembling them if necessary.
• Keep records of bad parts.
• JIT scan.
• Support assembly cells by providing product needed to meet final assembly schedules.
• Assist in other plant areas when the assigned area is slow.
