About The Position

The Overnight Stocking Coach leads and develops store teams, supports customer service, and drives financial performance and sales in the designated store area. The role provides supervision and development opportunities for associates, coordinates operational activities, maintains relationships with stakeholders, and ensures compliance with company policies and procedures. The position also models Walmart’s values, promotes a culture of belonging, and supports continuous improvement and company change efforts. The role is based at Walmart’s 10420 Maysville Road location in Fort Wayne, Indiana. The annual salary range is $65,000 to $100,000, with annual or quarterly performance bonuses and possible additional compensation based on location or complex structure.

Requirements

Two years of college; or one year of retail experience and one year of supervisory experience; or two years of general work experience and one year of supervisory experience.
Successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments.
For facilities that sell firearms, successfully complete a firearms-specific Criminal Background Check and Firearms Authorized Training.
For facilities that sell only ammunition and have applicable state requirements, a current state-issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.
General work experience supervising five or more direct reports, including responsibility for performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop teams by teaching, training, listening to associates, touring stores, and providing feedback.
Communicate and collaborate with associates at all levels about store operations, technology, business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction.
Lead company change efforts and provide clear expectations and guidance for implementing business solutions and achieving business objectives.
Model exceptional customer service standards and support customer service initiatives, including community programs.
Resolve customer needs, complaints, and issues; develop action plans to correct deficiencies and improve the customer experience.
Drive financial performance and sales by reviewing profit and loss statements and managing budgeting, forecasting, and expenses in the designated business area.
Monitor merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and operational processes; develop plans to mitigate shrink and meet sales and profit goals.
Hire, train, mentor, and develop associates; assign duties, set expectations, recognize contributions, and support staffing needs.
Build relationships with stakeholders, support plans and initiatives, communicate goals, measure progress, address improvement opportunities, and promote continuous learning.
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and support the company’s mission, values, ethics, and integrity standards.
Promote a workplace culture of belonging, collaboration, accountability, and talent development.
