About The Position

The Overnight Stock Associate supports store operations by assisting customers, sharing product knowledge, promoting store events and offers, and helping the team meet store and company goals. The role also involves communicating merchandise-restocking and service needs, customer feedback, and concerns to management. Associates use a range of store devices and may handle merchandise and stockroom duties. The schedule must be flexible to meet business needs and may include day, evening, weekend, and overnight shifts.

Requirements

At least 16 years old.
Available to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including days, evenings, weekends, and potentially overnight shifts; travel may be required.
Comfortable using technology such as computers, cash registers, hand-held devices, and mobile devices, or willing to learn.
Good communication skills and ability to engage with customers.
Ability to handle customer interactions and potential issues courteously and professionally.
Basic information-gathering skills to solve problems.
Ability to learn procedural knowledge through on-the-job training.
Able to identify and understand email and printed instructions regarding merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures.
Able to remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time.

Responsibilities

Greet and acknowledge customers promptly and assist multiple customers efficiently.
Assess and meet customer needs by sharing product knowledge, answering questions, directing customers to merchandise, and making recommendations.
Use suggestive selling and stay informed about product availability.
Inform customers about store events, promotions, and special activities.
Address customer concerns courteously, offer alternative solutions, and aim to turn returns into exchanges when possible.
Inform management about merchandise-restocking and service needs, as well as customer feedback.
Collaborate with the team to achieve store and company goals and contribute to a positive, productive work environment.
Move merchandise between the sales floor and stockroom, including retrieving and putting away stock.
