About The Position

The Overnight Stock Associate supports store operations by helping customers, maintaining merchandise availability and organization, and contributing to sales and store goals. The role involves customer service, product recommendations, promotional awareness, resolving customer concerns, and communicating restocking and service needs to management. Associates use cash registers and other technology, move and stock merchandise, and may work day, evening, weekend, or overnight shifts according to business needs. Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Available to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including day, evening, and weekend shifts; overnight shifts and travel may also be required.
• Comfortable using or willing to learn technology such as cash registers, hand-held devices, and mobile devices.
• Good communication skills and ability to engage with customers.
• Ability to handle customer interactions and potential issues courteously and professionally.
• Basic information-gathering skills for solving problems.
• Ability to learn procedural knowledge through on-the-job training.
• Ability to identify and understand email and printed instructions concerning merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures.
• Able to remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers promptly, including handling multiple customer interactions efficiently.
• Identify and meet customer needs by sharing product knowledge, answering questions, directing customers to merchandise, and offering recommendations.
• Engage in suggestive selling and stay informed about product availability.
• Inform customers about store events, promotions, and special activities.
• Address customer concerns and offer alternative solutions, seeking to turn returns into exchanges when possible.
• Communicate merchandise restocking needs, service requirements, and customer feedback to management in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with the team to support store and company goals and contribute to a positive, productive work environment.
• Operate the cash register and assist customers across the sales floor.
• Retrieve, put away, and organize merchandise in the stock room and on the sales floor.
