About The Position

The Overnight Stock Associate supports Five Below’s store and company goals by assisting customers, sharing product knowledge, promoting store events and promotions, resolving customer concerns, and communicating merchandise and service needs to management. The role also involves retrieving, stocking, and putting away merchandise while collaborating with the store team to maintain a positive and productive work environment. The schedule is flexible and may include day, evening, weekend, or overnight shifts, as required by the business.

Requirements

Be at least 16 years old.
Be available to work a flexible schedule to meet business needs, including day, evening, and weekend shifts, and potentially overnight shifts and travel as required.
Be comfortable using technology or willing to learn, including computers, cash registers, handheld devices, and mobile devices.
Communicate effectively and engage with customers.
Handle customer interactions and potential issues or concerns courteously and professionally.
Use basic information-gathering skills to solve problems.
Learn procedural knowledge through on-the-job training.
Identify and understand email and printed instructions about merchandise layouts, associate schedules, and standard operating procedures.
Remain in a stationary, upright position for 80% of the time.

Responsibilities

Greet and acknowledge customers promptly, assisting multiple customers efficiently.
Assess customer needs, share product knowledge, answer questions, direct customers to merchandise, and offer recommendations.
Use suggestive selling and stay informed about product availability.
Inform customers about store events, promotions, and special activities.
Address customer issues courteously and offer alternative solutions, aiming to turn returns into exchanges when possible.
Inform management about merchandise restocking, service requirements, and customer feedback in a timely manner.
Collaborate with the team to support store and company goals and contribute to a positive, productive work environment.
Retrieve, stock, and put away merchandise.
