About The Position

Nouria Energy Corporation is seeking an Overnight Retail Team Member to support the efficient operation of a station during a shift, in accordance with company policy. The role contributes to store profitability and growth while ensuring customers’ needs are met and delivering courteous, high-quality service. Team members communicate store-operation updates to management, prepare shift reports, promote products and specials, and help maintain a safe, secure, clean, and attractive store environment. They follow company safety procedures and applicable environmental and hazardous-material regulations, operate assigned equipment safely, and report accidents, injuries, incidents, or illnesses promptly. The role requires the ability to work a flexible schedule as needed, interact professionally with customers, and perform physical store duties. Eligible team members may participate in the benefit programs described in the posting, subject to program terms.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years of age.
Read, understand, and write English at an eighth-grade level.
Be able to validate identification before selling tobacco and/or alcohol as required by regulations.
Be able to lift and carry merchandise, including cases of milk cartons, soft drinks, beer, and juice, using proper lifting techniques; the qualifications section specifies lifting up to 30 pounds, and the physical requirements section specifies lifting up to 50 pounds at times.
Remain calm and respond to emergencies according to policies and procedures.
Tolerate exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning products.
Work in varied temperature environments, including coolers, outdoors in various weather conditions, and inside the store.
Traverse and access all areas of the store.
Stand for prolonged periods and tolerate prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Work a flexible schedule as needed.
Interact with customers in a friendly, professional manner.

Responsibilities

Operate the station efficiently during the assigned shift and in accordance with company policy.
Communicate verbally and in writing with management about store operations, especially changes or issues that could adversely affect operations.
Prepare a shift report at the end of the shift according to company guidelines.
Provide a positive customer experience by greeting customers warmly and interacting with them professionally.
Suggest purchases and promote specials.
Assume responsibility for executing the customer service program at the site level.
Minimize safety risks to employees, customers, and suppliers; enforce environmental and hazardous-material regulations.
Maintain store safety and security and document accidents or incidents.
Maintain the customer environment inside and around the store perimeter.
Operate assigned equipment safely and efficiently and support implementation of the Safety and Health program.
Promptly report workplace accidents, injuries, incidents, or illnesses and complete the new employee safety orientation procedure.
Perform general housekeeping and help maintain the physical condition, safety, cleanliness, and attractiveness of store facilities.
Perform other related duties as required.
