About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring nurses for the overnight shift (6 p.m.–6 a.m.) at its detox and residential treatment facility in Indianapolis, Indiana. Nurses provide medical care and support to clients receiving addiction treatment, from admission through ongoing care. The role includes completing admission assessments, carrying out nursing shift duties, coordinating with care teams, and maintaining accurate medical and medication records.

Requirements

• Current, valid RN or LPN licensure in Indiana.
• Strong critical-thinking, oral-communication, and written-communication skills.
• Excellent collaboration, multitasking, and time-management skills.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience in the treatment industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete a comprehensive medical assessment for each client upon admission.
• Perform nursing shift duties, including screening, taking vital signs, scheduling appointments and labs, and updating charts.
• Address pharmacy needs and prescription authorizations; dispense medications and maintain medication logs.
• Collaborate with medical, clinical, and utilization review teams to coordinate care.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation, review charts, and log medications for each client.
