About The Position
Avenues Recovery Center is hiring Nurses for the overnight shift (6 p.m. to 6 a.m.) at its Fort Wayne residential facility. The 100-bed center provides drug and alcohol detox and inpatient rehabilitation services. Nurses provide medical care to clients throughout admission, treatment, and discharge, and help coordinate care with medical, clinical, and utilization review teams. The role also involves medication and prescription coordination, documentation, patient education, and supporting a compassionate, dignified recovery environment.
Requirements
- Complete a minimum one-year diploma program after high school.
- Hold current RN or LPN licensure to practice in the state, or compact licensure with multistate privileges.
- Have strong oral and written communication skills.
- Be detail-oriented and efficient, with the ability to multitask.
- Demonstrate a compassionate, dignified character that models recovery principles.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality medical care for each client throughout admission, treatment, and discharge.
- Coordinate pharmacy and prescription needs, dispense medication, and maintain clear medication logs.
- Collaborate with medical, clinical, and utilization review teams to coordinate care.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation, tracking, and reporting for each client.
- Provide patient education in individual and group settings.
