About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring licensed practical nurses (LPNs) and registered nurses (RNs) for the overnight shift at its detox and residential treatment facility in Indianapolis, Indiana. Nurses provide medical care and support for clients receiving substance-use treatment, including completing admission assessments, carrying out routine shift duties, coordinating care with other teams, and maintaining accurate medical and medication records. The overnight shift is 6 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Requirements

• Hold a current, valid RN or LPN license in Indiana.
• Strong critical-thinking, oral communication, and written communication skills.
• Excellent collaboration, multitasking, and time-management skills.

Nice To Haves

• One year of experience in the treatment industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete a comprehensive medical assessment for each client upon admission.
• Perform nursing shift duties, including screening, taking vital signs, scheduling appointments and laboratory work, and updating charts.
• Address pharmacy needs and prescription authorizations; dispense medications and maintain medication logs.
• Collaborate with medical, clinical, and utilization review teams to coordinate care.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation, review charts, and log medications for each client.
