About The Position

Avenues Recovery Center is hiring nurses for the overnight shift (6 p.m. to 6 a.m.) at its Fort Wayne, Indiana residential facility. The 100-bed center provides drug and alcohol detoxification and inpatient rehabilitation services. Nurses provide medical care throughout each client’s admission, treatment, and discharge; coordinate medications and prescriptions; collaborate with medical, clinical, and utilization review teams; maintain documentation and medication records; and educate patients individually and in groups.

Requirements

• Complete a minimum one-year diploma program after high school.
• Hold a current RN or LPN license to practice in-state, or a compact license with multistate privileges.
• Have strong oral and written communication skills.
• Be detail-oriented and efficient, with the ability to multitask.
• Demonstrate a compassionate, dignified character that models recovery principles.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality medical care for each client throughout admission, treatment, and discharge.
• Coordinate pharmacy and prescription needs, dispense medication, and maintain clear medication logs.
• Collaborate with medical, clinical, and utilization review teams to coordinate care.
• Maintain medical documentation, tracking, and reporting for each client.
• Provide patient education in individual and group settings.
