About The Position

The Overnight Custodian is responsible for keeping all areas of the facility clean to support a positive member experience. The role includes cleaning and sanitizing locker rooms, fitness equipment, and the gym floor; stocking locker-room paper products; reporting broken amenities or equipment; and promptly turning in lost member property according to the company’s lost-and-found policy. The position is listed as full-time or part-time, non-supervisory, and non-exempt. Compensation is $14.00 per hour.

Requirements

Honesty and a good work ethic.
Stand and walk for at least 75% of the shift.
Reach and feel with hands, fingers, and arms for at least 75% of the shift.
Climb, balance, kneel, and crouch for less than 20% of the shift.
Talk with members or staff for less than 30% of the shift.
Be able to lift over 100 pounds for less than 20% of the shift.
May encounter toxic chemicals for less than 30% of the shift.

Responsibilities

Thoroughly clean and sanitize locker rooms, fitness equipment, and the gym floor.
Stock the locker room with appropriate paper products.
Report broken amenities or equipment, including toilets, showers, hair dryers, and gym equipment, to the Club Manager, Manager in Training, or Team Lead.
Immediately turn in lost member property to the Club Manager, Manager in Training, or Team Lead in accordance with the lost-and-found policy.
Provide customer service that exceeds customers’ wants and needs.
Listen actively, empathize with customers, and work together to solve problems.
Recognize and define problems, analyze relevant information, consider alternative solutions, and seek assistance when needed.
Demonstrate tact and appropriate behavior and language in interactions.
